• PUBLIC COMMENTS:
• BBA and CSEA wanted to thank everyone who donated to Jose's memorial services.
• SECRETARY'S REPORT:
• Minutes- January minutes were approved and will post on the website.
• Lilybeth Torres made motion to accept; Evan Seidel seconded motion. Motion Passed

• VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT
• Please continue to Cc'ing Tim Brown on all correspondence for emails to the members you represent.
• Tim has not been receiving forwarded emailed from some of the Building Reps. in Kaplan, CTEC, and several District Based classes.
• TREASURER'S REPORT:
• January's budget was read; for further information please see building rep.

• GRIEVANCE REPORT:
• There are two grievances being handled.

• NEGOTIATIONS REPORT:
• Conversation we were coming in August for two conf days; is now off the table and it will not be occurring.
• Thanks to the negotiation team, we are meeting and cleaning up the contract and rewriting the contract language.

• POLITICAL ACTION REPORT:
• Vote/Cope contributions were deducted.
• If you would like to contribute more, please write a check to Vote/Cope and send it to Kevin.
• If you have any question regarding vote cope please contact Kevin at DenKev5@aol.com

• CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL REPORT:
• Kevin attended a meeting on February 7.
• The council plans on awarding scholarships to high school students in the amount of $200.
• Baseball night – targeted for Thursday May 23rd. There will be more information to follow.
• TECHNOLOGY REPORT:
• No Report
• ROCKLAND TEACHER CENTER REPORT:
• Tim will attend the next meeting in March.

• SICK BANK:

• A meeting was held and the member was approved.
• The contract language for the sick bank needs to be looked at and cleaned up.
• HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE:
• Eric K. will be attending a conference in Saratoga on March 1st and 2nd.
• A few issues were resolved around campus.
• Heating – please report to your administrator before contacting Tim Adams or Eric Kurz.
• Meeting will be held with administration, to discuss lockdown and lock out procedures.
• The buzzer for Berc will be installed.
• Protocol for reporting a Health and Safety issue-First let the supervisor know about the situation. If not resolved, let Eric Kurz know via email ekurz76@hotmail.com
• PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
• All coats donated have been distributed Total count 121
• Food Drive
• January 16th, BOCES staff association sponsored food drive kick off
• The collection of food has begun in all buildings.
• Please sign up to volunteer for food collection on March 3rd in Garnerville Shoprite
• Youthfest
• March 10th from 11 am – 4 pm
• Volunteers are needed

• MEMBERSHIP REPORT:

• 598 members; 275 full dues, 115 ¾ dues, 46 split dues, 137 ½ dues, 3 ¼ dues, 4 LOA,
• 18 BSA members are not registered with NYSUT

• Lap application was accepted. I want to thank the team for working so hard on this application.
• BUILDING REPORTS:
LARSEN/DI MUCCIO/GAON:

• Everything is being handled internally

CASTELLANE:
• Overwhelmed with work:
• Administration continues to provide different due dates for reports.
• Everything is being handled internally

CHARLES:
• CBI-Tech
• Handling things internally
• IDT
• Everything is ok.

TAYLOR/RIVERA/RYAN:
• Hilltop @ Neary
• Issues are being held internally.
• There is an increase in enrollment.
• Building is reviewing safety protocol.

• Suffern
• No building report.

• Elementary IDT
• Working on things internally.

BOYDSTON/BELL/TRIOLA:
• CTEC
• Building is reviewing Safety Protocols
• Overloaded with paperwork for observations
• Chris Conti will write a letter indicating what artifacts are for the APPR.
BONET/LAINE

• River View
• Everything is ok.
• There is an increase in enrollment.
• Need extra staff to cover clinician maternity leave.

• Tappan Zee HS
• Ok.
• PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
• January 11th- Attended East Ramapo update meeting.
• January 14th-Met with staff about campus concerns:
• January 14th- Attended monthly meeting with Mary Jean and Bill.
• January 18th –Attended East Ramapo update meeting.
• January 18th – Represented members in meeting with Ana Reluzco and Bill Toussaint.
• January 23rd- Attended the Summer School meeting.
• January 24th- Attended a negotiations meeting with Chris Conti, Bill Toussaint and Ana Reluzco.
• January 25th - Attended an APPR meeting with Chris Conti and Ana Reluzco.
• January 26th- Attended School Board's Legislative Grant Meeting with Mary Jean, Charlene and Audrey
• January 29th – Attended Safety review meeting with BOCES leadership teams.
• January 30th- Represented a staff member in meeting with Amy Albers and Ana Reluzco.
• February 4th- Attended Table Talk meeting with Tim Brown, Lilybeth Torres, Chris Conti, Patti Trout.
• February 4th- Attended negotiations meeting with Chris Conti, Bill Toussaint, and Ana Reluzco.
• February 12th Attended BOCES Lobby Day in Albany.
• February 13th – Attended RCTA
• February 13th – Attended Board meeting.
• Summer School application deadline has passed. February 11, 2013. Application is still on BOCES home page for late applications.
• A safety review meeting was held on January 29th with a consultant from Mike Needam's office to review BOCES practices. A list of recommendations will be complied. All schools within Rockland County will be utilizing the Clarkstown Police Safety Protocol to facilitate increased effectiveness in responding to safety issues.
• Observations and Evaluations of the new APPR are commencing. Staff continues to need training in the computerized system on MY Learning Plan. While it is not mandatory for staff to complete the pre-evaluation component, it is highly recommended that staff submit the lesson plan and artifacts as related to the Danielson Rubric to be certain the lesson contains the necessary information to achieve an effective rating.
• Snow Day make up: February 19th- Personal day to be approved with documentation. The same protocol will be used in the event of future make-up days are required.
• Rockland Community Foundation 2013 Scholarship Application are out.
• Tell it like it is Listening Tour March 20th at 5:00 pm, Need 10 participants.
• May 17th- is no longer a Superintendent Conference day, it is now an instructional day.
• OLD BUSINESS
• There are members who have not signed the confidential forms, please see Lilybeth for your names.
• A motion to add Cathy Rios and Karen Michelson to the Public Relations was made by Debbie Kydon and seconded by Tim Brown. Motion Passed
• A motion to add Erik Buckley to the Political Action committee was made by Debbie Kydon and Seconded by Tim Brown. Motion passed.
• LAP committee will be scheduling another meeting to address application.
• .
• NEW BUSINESS
• Constitution Committee: Tim will contact the members this weekend to set up a mutual time to meet to discuss what we will be bringing back as suggestions to next Rep. Council meeting.
• Hi Tor Humane Society is having a Blanket Drive- please contact Jeff for further information.
• Seniority list will be distributed.
• February is Career and Tech Month- a motion to place an ad in the Bergen newsletter was made by Kevin and 2nd by Evan Seidel, Motion passed.
• A motion to allocate $1,300.00 to place ad was made by Kevin and 2nd by Jason Kahn. The motion was passed.
