Know Your Contract by Sue Miller
Please VOTE on MAY 20TH
On May 20th residents of the Massapequa School District will have the opportunity to vote on the
proposed budget and 2 candidates for School Board. Your building rep. has an easy to fill out Application
for Absentee Ballot. You may use an absentee ballot for a number of reasons:
- You are a patient in a hospital or unable to appear because of illness or physical disability.
- Your duties, occupation, business, or studies require you to be outside of your city or
residence on the day of the election.
- You are on vacation.
The form is easy to fill out and your building rep. can help you if you need assistance. Once you fill out
the form, please send it to Anne Marie Belizzi at administration at least 7 days prior to the election.
She will give you the absentee ballot which must be returned to her before the election.
My household will be filling out 4 absentee ballots. 2 for my daughters who are away at college, and 2 for
my husband and son who work in Manhattan and often work overtime which might prevent them for getting to
the polls on time.
