Who is the GTA?

It's you, the valued member who dedicates endless hours toward our shared goal of "Quality in Education."

An effective union relies on the active participation of all of its membership.  We are only as strong as we are united.  We are fortunate to have a highly active and committed membership.

Our local union is a part of a larger national organization.  That path to national is littered with acronyms.  Here's a map to help you find your way.

School level: Each school in the district has it's own Faculty Association

    The first step is to speak with your building rep, who can help you decide the best course of action to resolve your issue.

What do I do if I have a personal issue that is interfering with my work?
    Contact the Employee Assistance Program 434-1799.  It is a totally free, totally confidential service that is provided to employees to support them through a wide range of personal issues.
