Letter to Retirees from Bill Ahearn
The Gates Chili Teachers Association invites you to continue your membership in the GCTA, the New York State United Teachers, and the American Federation of Teachers.
As a retired member of these organizations you will receive publications as well as being able to participate in the benefits program of the GCTA, NYSUT, and the AFT. The GCTA will update you with a newsletter that will keep you informed about local events.
The constitutions of both NYSUT and the AFT allow you to retain your membership at no additional cost (you have in effect pre-paid your dues during your years as an active member). The only cost for retiree membership will be the annual dues of $5.00 to maintain your membership in the GCTA.
If you would like your membership to continue, please send a check in the amount of $5.00 payable to the Gates Chili Teachers Association (c/o William Ahearn at the Middle School).
The Voice is now posted on the GCTA website (http://nysut.org/gateschili /).
