NYSUT 403b Workshop

 February 15, 2012 @ 5:00 PM - NYSUT Regional Office

The complexities behind the various types and providers of 403(b) plans continue to rank as one of the bigger financial concerns our members face.  To assist BTA/NYSUT members with these decisions, a 403(b) provider-specific workshop is available. Since the workshop is relatively new, you are invited to attend this workshop at the NYSUT Regional Office (200 Essjay Road, Williamsville) in order for you to get a better idea of what this workshop covers and the value it offers you and your members.  While there is normally a fee to attend this workshop, the fee is being waived for this special occasion.  Please reference the flyer for details and seriously consider attending. Dinner is included and the session should run from 5 to 6:30 pm. The "snow date" is 2/16 at the same time and location.

Consolidation

Consolidation of the district remains under consideration by the administration and Board of Education. The plans are being reviewed by the budget ambassadors this month with a BOE decision to be made in March. If a consolidation plan is approved, BTA and the administration will work together to develop plans for moving teachers' classroom materials. In addition, BTA and the adminstration will work together to review the transfer process as outlined in the current contract.
